Tour Plan

Day 1 : Welcome to Kenya – Journey into the Wild Begins

Your African adventure starts the moment you touch down at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. You’ll be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide who will accompany you throughout your journey. After a short briefing, you’ll begin your scenic drive to Samburu – a land of rugged beauty and rare wildlife.

As you make your way north, the landscape transforms from bustling city to open savannahs and arid hills. Arrive at your luxurious lodge just in time for check-in and a freshly prepared lunch. After some relaxation, set off on your first game drive in Samburu National Reserve, home to the iconic “Samburu Special Five” – Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, and Beisa oryx.

As the sun dips below the horizon, casting golden hues across the plains, return to your lodge for a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay – surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 2 Into the Heart of Samburu – A Wild Safari ExperienceInto the Heart of Samburu – A Wild Safari Experience

Wake up to the soft sounds of the wild and the scent of fresh morning air in Samburu. After a hearty breakfast, set off for a full day of unlimited game drives across the arid beauty of Samburu National Reserve. This dramatic landscape, framed by distant hills and acacia-dotted plains, is home to some of Kenya’s most unique wildlife.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Samburu Special Five: the striking reticulated giraffe, the endangered Grevy’s zebra, the elegant Beisa oryx, the long-necked gerenuk, and the rare Somali ostrich. These elusive species can only be found in this region of Kenya. Alongside them roam elephants, lions, leopards, and countless bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the shade near the Ewaso Nyiro River, where animals often come to drink, giving you a front-row seat to the rhythm of the wild. Return to camp for a leisurely afternoon and perhaps a sundowner as the skies blaze in the colors of dusk. Dinner and overnight at the lodge await as you prepare for another day of adventure.

Day 3 From Samburu to Ol Pejeta – Where Conservation Meets the Wild

After breakfast, leave the arid north behind and journey south toward the lush highlands of central Kenya, traveling along the foothills of the majestic Mount Kenya. Your destination: Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of the most important private wildlife reserves in East Africa.

Arrive in time for a warm welcome and lunch at your camp, then embark on an afternoon game drive through this pioneering conservation area. Ol Pejeta is home to the Big Five, the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and the last two remaining northern white rhinos on the planet – a humbling encounter you won't forget.

Visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where you can see rescued chimps living in a semi-wild environment. Stop by the Visitor Information Centre for educational exhibits that deepen your understanding of the region’s conservation efforts.

Return to camp as the stars light up the African sky. Enjoy dinner and overnight surrounded by nature’s calm and a sense of purpose from having visited such an impactful destination.

Day 4 Flamingo Paradise – From Ol Pejeta to Lake Nakuru

This morning, after breakfast, your journey continues westward through the scenic Great Rift Valley to the world-famous Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and a short rest before heading out for an afternoon game drive.

Lake Nakuru is a birdwatcher’s paradise, known for its vibrant pink hues thanks to the thousands of flamingos that flock to its alkaline shores. Depending on water levels and seasons, the lake’s surface can shimmer with a sea of pink.

In addition to the flamingos, the park is home to over 450 bird species, including pelicans, storks, and fish eagles. It also offers a chance to see both black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, and elusive leopards.

Head up to Baboon Cliff for panoramic views of the lake and its dazzling birdlife – a perfect photo opportunity. As the sun dips below the escarpment, return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 5 Into the Wild Heart – Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

After breakfast, bid farewell to the flamingos of Nakuru as you set off for the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy a scenic drive with game viewing en route and arrive just in time for check-in and lunch.

After a brief rest and some traditional Kenyan tea or coffee, head out on an afternoon game drive. Guided by your expert tracker, venture into the vast savannahs in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, and the ever-present wildebeests. As golden hour paints the landscape, the Mara begins to pulse with wildlife activity. Return to camp for dinner and a night under the stars.

Day 6 Kingdom of the Big Cats – Full Day in the Masai Mara

Today is dedicated to a full-day game drive in one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife havens. After breakfast, grab your packed lunch and set out across the rolling grasslands of the Mara.

This is Big Cat country – lions, cheetahs, and leopards prowl these plains. It’s also the stage for the Great Migration when over 1 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and gazelles thunder through the region, followed closely by Africa’s top predators.

Watch the drama unfold near the Mara River, where crocodiles lie in wait. Bird lovers will marvel at over 500 recorded species including eagles, vultures, storks, and the mighty kori bustard.

After a day filled with unforgettable sightings, return to camp for dinner and a well-earned rest.

Day 7 From the Mara to Amboseli – Skies, Cuisine, and Kilimanjaro

After a morning game drive and breakfast, board a flight from Angama Mara Airstrip back to Nairobi. Enjoy a delicious Kenyan lunch and sample local dishes like ugali and nyama choma before catching your next flight from Wilson Airport to Amboseli National Park.

Check in at your lodge and set out for an evening game drive beneath the looming silhouette of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is renowned for its vast herds of elephants and open terrain that offers excellent visibility of lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and more.

Dinner and overnight at your Amboseli lodge.

Day 8 Beneath Kilimanjaro – Full Day in Amboseli

Today offers a full-day safari in Amboseli, starting with an early breakfast. Explore the park’s stunning landscapes: swamps, savannahs, and acacia woodlands teeming with wildlife.

Encounter free-roaming elephants at close range and keep your eyes peeled for buffalo, hyenas, antelope, and hundreds of bird species. Break for a picnic lunch in the heart of the wild or return to your lodge for a midday break.

In the afternoon, visit a traditional Maasai village. Engage with the vibrant culture, colorful attire, and intricate beadwork of this proud and ancient tribe. You’ll have the chance to purchase authentic souvenirs and hear stories passed down through generations.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9 From Amboseli to Tsavo – Into the Wilderness

After breakfast, leave Amboseli behind as you travel by private Land Cruiser toward Tsavo West National Park. Arrive in time for lunch and a short rest at the luxurious Finch Hattons Camp.

In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in Tsavo, known for its dramatic landscapes, red elephants, and vast herds of wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Finch Hattons – where wild luxury meets untouched nature.

Day 10 The Untamed Beauty of Tsavo

Spend the day discovering the natural wonders of Tsavo West. Visit the legendary Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear waters bubble up from lava rocks, and keep watch for hippos and crocodiles.

Traverse the Shetani Lava Flows – remnants of ancient volcanic activity – and climb to Poacher's Lookout for panoramic views of the vast plains below. Tsavo is home to rhinos, leopards, cheetahs, and an incredible variety of birdlife, making for an enriching and thrilling safari.

Return to camp for dinner under the stars.

Day 11 From Safari to Sea – Tsavo to Diani Beach

After breakfast and a final game drive, head to the airstrip for your flight to Ukunda, on the southern coast of Kenya. Upon arrival, check in to your beach resort and relax with lunch.

Spend the rest of the day soaking in the white sands and turquoise waters of the famous Diani Beach, a perfect contrast to your adventurous days in the bush.

Day 12-13 Diani – Paradise Found

Unwind at your leisure over the next two days in this coastal paradise. Swim in the warm Indian Ocean, sip cocktails under a beach umbrella, or treat yourself to a spa session.

You may also choose to take a camel ride along the beach, or venture inland on a guided bike tour to explore local Swahili villages. Diani is where relaxation, culture, and nature blend seamlessly.

Day 14 Farewell Kenya – Departure Day

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, then check out and transfer to Moi International Airport in Mombasa for your international flight home. Depart with unforgettable memories, stunning photographs, and the spirit of Africa forever in your heart.
